The Sapphires (2012)
True story of a quartet of Aboriginal young women who tour Vietnam as a singing group during the war. Fine performances by all of the women, along with the always charming Chris O’Dowd, elevate a good story but average script. This small film delivers laughter and tears, great soul music and great singing. Worth a look.
