The Naked Prey (1965)
This combination of adventure and chase film stars its director, Cornel Wilde, as a safari guide captured when a wealthy tourist to Africa refuses to pay tribute to a native tribal leader. Ultimately, the guide, naked and empty-handed, escapes into the wilderness, pursued by warriors. Imaginative enough to keep the audience’s interest, the tale features little dialogue, though it contains some clever action and plot points, as evidenced by the Oscar nomination its screenplay received.
