Swing Shift (1984)
An uneven film that never really seems to start, and when the audience finds itself in the middle of the story, the emotions, relationships, and social situations are examined in an almost superficial fashion. The actors are fine, and the script at least serviceable, but the direction comes off as flat. Inexpert, and worth seeing only for the dynamic between the friends of circumstance portrayed by Goldie Hawn and Christine Lahti.
