Nebraska (2013)
Nebraska provides an archly funny observation on the vagaries of life, understanding, change, and forgiveness. Alexander Payne lovingly crafts a real portrait of an aging midwestern family, exploring both their present and past in subtle and moving ways. Bruce Dern, June Squibb, Bob Odenkirk, and Stacey Keach all do fine work, but Will Forte stands out among them.
