1776 (1972)
Solid if somewhat whitewashed musical retelling of the days in the Second Continental Congress leading up to the writing, editing, adopting, and signing of the Declaration of Independence. Filled with many catchy tunes, the film boasts a fine cast that includes William Daniels as the quintessential John Adams. Recommended.
