Toy Story 3 (2010)
Amazingly enough, this third entry in PIXAR’s already-good franchise marks the high point, with an absolutely note-perfect script, along with fine editing, direction, and acting. The tale flows seamlessly from beginning to end, with plenty of smiles and laughs, lots of clever touches, and some surprisingly emotional moments. The balance of light and dark in an animated film can be difficult to pull off, but it works beautifully here, somehow evoking strong feelings about cartoon toys, something quite astonishing.
