The Jolson Story (1946)
An interesting, albeit not entirely accurate look at the life of Al Jolson. Larry Parks and Evelyn Keyes are good, and William Demarest is very good, in a well-told tale of a driven entertainer. Jolson’s distinctive voice is used to good effect in musical numbers, many of them classics. Not great, but solid.
