Conquest (1937)
Interesting tale of the love affair between Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and Polish Countess Marie Walewska, with fine turns by Charles Boyer and Greta Garbo in the lead roles. The story feels incomplete, though, owing to the time Marie is apart from Napoleon, which is generally not covered or offered up in any kind of detail within the film. A longer, fully drawn biopic would have satisfied more.
