Art and Craft (2014)
This 2014 documentary follows the efforts of forger Mark Landis to populate American museums with his faux artwork. Evidently motivated not by monetary considerations but by ego, the savant-like figure appears to suffer from some form of Asperger’s Syndrome, though no mention of it is made in the film. The portrait that emerges of Mr. Landis, while interesting at first blush, lacks depth, never exploring his past or how and why he has become who he is.
