Veronica Mars (2014)
Kristen Bell reprises her television role as the eponymous teen sleuth, though at this point, Veronica has moved into her twenties, graduating not just high school and college, but also law school. As she prepares to accept a position with a New York City firm and to sit for the bar, a sense of personal obligation—and perhaps more—drags her back to her hometown of Neptune, California, where her former boyfriend has been charged with murder (yes, again!). While Veronica Mars does not make for a great film, it does satisfy as an expanded episode of the series, and it’s great to see so many familiar faces among the cast.
